2025 Year 7& 8 Player Development programme (PDP)

The Player Development Programme (PDP) is an in-season development programme for Year 7 & 8 netballers, male and female. It focuses on both the technical and tactical elements of netball, athlete development and fundamental movement skills.

Cost: The cost for this program for 2025 will be $130 per player. Any New Year 7 and Y8 players to the program will need to also buy a INC playing t-shirt at a cost of $30. Payment must be made to secure your place in the PDP.

Sunday 18th May Year 7: 12midday - 12.30pm and Year 8: 3.30pm - 4pm 25th May at ILT Stadium Southland (at least one parent ,caregiver for each player must attend meeting)

Development dates are as follows:

Sunday 18th May: Year 7 - 12.30pm - 2pm, Year 8 - 2pm - 3.30pm

Sunday 25th May: Year 7 - 9.30am - 11am, Year 8 - 11.30pm - 1pm

Sunday 8th June ( 2 hours per year group/team) Year group/teams will be split closer to the time.

Five team training sessions Times TBC once players are in teams

Monday 16th June from 5.30pm ,Sunday 13th July (am) Sunday 20th July (pm),Sunday 3rd August, Monday 4th Aug from 5.30pm

All PDP sessions will be at ILT Stadium Southland.

TOURNAMENT DATES:

Sunday Winton 27th July (own transport/ car pool)

Sunday Dunedin 10th August (bus provided, teams travel together)

The PDP is a specially compiled programme endorsed by Netball New Zealand jam-packed full of up to five - six weeks of technical and tactical elements of netball, athlete development (sleep, nutrition, social media) and fundamental movement skills. This programme provides more opportunities for more players to participate and development to develop a life long love of netball. It's fun and engaging plus a great chance to make new friends along the way.
