JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT

 ANZ futureFERNS Year 1-2 Programme 

​​​​​​​The  futureFERNS Years 1 & 2 programme is held in Term 4

Played on Monday afternoons from 3.30pm - 4.15pm

Individual entry fee: $50 per player

Starts Monday 19th Febuary  - Monday 8th April 2026

All participants take part in a warm-up together and then are split into smaller groups.

Sessions consist of fundamental netball skills followed by a modified netball game.

Running the ANZ futureFERNS programme would not be possible without the assistance of our Star Helpers. Each year we look for people aged 15+ with an interest in learning to coach. You will receive all the information to help with coaching the sessions.  Please sign up to help!!!

Term 2 2025

FutureFERNS is designed to be fast and fun, maximising participation and touches of the ball. With modified equipment and less players on the court, in 6 v 6 the game is less complicated.

• Competition Games will be played on Thursday Term 2 from 3.30pm - 7pm
• Players register via the school who will enter a school team. ​​​​​​​
• 6 v 6 (recommend 8 players per team)
• Played on a full size netball court
• Play with a Size 4 ball
• Goalposts at 2.6m
• Games will be quarters
• Positions include A,C,D,
• No results tables
• Defaulting games - cost $100

• 7v7( recommend 9 players per team)

• Goalpost at 3.05m
• Postition include GK,GD,WD,WA,GA,GA
• Thursday during Term 3 2025 starting 25th July
• Game times between 3.30pm  - 7pm
